The device is used to measure binding soil strength. It is used in soils with low shear strength (0.3 kg/cm²) where triaxial or unconfined soil tests cannot be performed.

The measurement of undisturbed and unkneaded strength is a useful device for calculating the sensitivity of soil.

The load is applied by the screw shaft on the body.

4 calibration springs, 1 vane blade and a torque cell for spring calibration are optionally supplied with the device and are priced separately.
